Since its foundation in 2012, Sponsorship Network International (SNI) has been transforming lives in Romania through its partnership with local organizations. From supporting orphanages to elderly care homes, SNI’s humanitarian projects bring hope and healing to communities in need.
Empowering Healthcare for the Underserved
In partnership with Asociatia Faborisa, SNI is improving healthcare services for disadvantaged groups in Romania. By implementing European standards in hospitals, particularly in pediatric wards, SNI’s contributions have helped renovate hospital facilities and introduce innovative programs like laughter therapy, music, dance, and art therapy, enhancing the quality of life for patients.
Supporting Education for Underprivilaged Children
Education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. During the 2019-2020 school year, SNI:
- Distributed school supplies, uniforms, and materials to orphans and children from disadvantaged families.
- Covered school fees for underprivileged students, ensuring their access to education.
- Organized art courses to promote creativity and holistic development.
These efforts continue to inspire and empower children across Romania to dream of a brighter future.
Delivering Aid to Vulnerable Families
SNI’s efforts extended to supporting poor families in Romania by providing them with clothes, shoes, toys, and wool to help them through difficult times. Additionally, a disabled couple with three children received a water pump and wood for the winter, ensuring access to basic necessities.
Humanitarian Projects in Bucharest and Arad
Through collaboration with Hilfe für Rumänien, SNI has supported various projects that have improved lives in Bucharest and Arad. These initiatives provide critical resources and support to those facing hardship, ensuring communities have the strength to overcome challenges.
Caring for Children with Tuberculosis
Every year, over 2,000 children with tuberculosis at the Marius Nasta Hospital in Bucharest benefit from SNI’s support. Key achievements include:
- Renovating and refurnishing a dedicated hospital section to improve patient care.
- Establishing the “Little House, Big Hearts” center, offering a welcoming base for volunteers as they care for children.
- Partnering with Faborisa Association, SNI was involved in the renovation of the Marius Nasta Hospital, particularly focusing on the improvement of sanitary facilities in the Pediatric ward. The association also hosts performances by musicians and artists to bring joy and happiness into the lives of the patients.
These efforts not only provide medical care but also uplift the spirits of young patients and their families.
