With SNI’s patronage, the students of 20 government schools in the Indian villages near Amalapuram, approx. 5000 students, are able to get access to a Library and benefit from it.

The libraries are open to all of the pupils in the school. Each library holds books, both fiction and reference books to help with school work and for wider learning. Children can use the reading rooms, as well as borrowing books to take home.

  • This year with the help of our school libraries 12 students are selected for Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) or Rajiv Gandhi university of knowledge technologies (RGUKT).
  • 27 students selected for National Merit Cum Means Scholarship (NMMS) that is providing financial assistance to students belonging to economically weaker sections
  • 20 new libraries were set up in the East Godavari district for children studying in government schools.

On behalf of the entire team of the Humane Voluntary Welfare Association (HVWA)and the volunteers and teachers involved, without the help of the donor Sponsorship Netowrk International, Zurich it would have not been possible for HVWA to implement the project smoothly. We are forever grateful for your generous donation was an essential support for providing library access to children in government schools.

We were able to set up twenty libraries in East Godavari district for children studying in government schools.
