Bana Mayele (Kinshasa, Congo)​

Located in the district of Kimbondo on Mont-Ngafula in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kimbondo is home to more than 800 orphans. More than 250 of the over 800 orphans suffer from a host of ailments, including malnutrition, severe physical disabilities, HIV-AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.

Ssese Islands, Uganda

This year, during SNI’s medical mission to Uganda, we witnessed the resilience and kindness of Kalangala’s community. After devastating fires destroyed homes, we acted swiftly to rebuild lives and support UPENDO Village School. Together, we aim to provide homes, meals, and education, bringing hope to Ssese Islands’ families and children.

Through a holistic approach to deaf education, skills training, job placement, and sign language development, Deaf Reach empowers individuals with special needs to overcome poverty and reach their full potential.
